Booking confirmations — emails and notifications upon booking

When a customer books one of your activities, a confirmation is sent automatically. Here we explain what the confirmation contains, how to customize it, and what to do if something goes wrong.

How it works

As soon as a customer completes a booking, two things happen:

  • The customer receives a confirmation email with all the important details: activity name, date and time, location, your cancellation policy, and a link to cancel
  • You as the creator receive a notification in the app that someone has booked

Customers who book via the web (without the app) do not receive push notifications — in that case, the email is the only confirmation. That's why it's especially important that the email gets through.

Step by step

Customize the text in the booking confirmation

You can add a personal message that appears in the confirmation email — perfect for practical info like "Bring your own mat!" or "Parking is available at the back."

  1. Go to your activity and select Edit (or create a new one)
  2. Scroll down to Note on booking confirmation
  3. Write your text
  4. Save — the text will appear in all future confirmation emails for that activity

Frequently asked questions

Q: My customer didn't receive a confirmation — what do I do? A: The most common issue is that the email ended up in the customer's junk or spam folder. Ask the customer to check there first. A good tip is to ask the customer to add noreply@peach.nu to their contacts — that way future emails will arrive correctly.

Q: Can I change the text in the confirmation email? A: You can add a custom note via Note on booking confirmation when you create or edit an activity. The base template (with date, time, and location) cannot be changed.

Q: Does the customer get a reminder before the activity? A: Yes, customers who have the Peach app installed receive a reminder via push notification. Customers without the app do not receive a reminder — only the original confirmation email.

Good to know

  • The confirmation email includes a cancellation link, so the customer can cancel directly without contacting you
  • Use the note field for things your participants need to know before the activity — it saves you time and questions
  • If a customer frequently misses emails, suggest they download the Peach app for push notifications
  • You can always see all bookings under your activity in the app, regardless of whether the customer received their email
