GDPR and customer data

When a customer books one of your activities, they consent to sharing their information with you and with Peach. But with access to customer data comes responsibility. Here we go through what applies and how to handle it in the best way.

How it works

  • At the time of booking, the customer agrees that their information (name, email address, etc.) is shared with you as a creator and with Peach.
  • You can view and export customer data under Customers in the app — e.g. names and email addresses.
  • Exported data can be used in external tools like Mailchimp or similar to communicate with your participants.
  • You are responsible for how you handle exported customer data in accordance with GDPR.

Step by step: Export customer data

  1. Go to Customers in the app.
  2. Select the customer list you want to export.
  3. Tap export — you will receive a file with names and email addresses.
  4. Import the file into your email tool (e.g. Mailchimp, Brevo, or similar).

Frequently asked questions

Q: Can I use customers' emails for newsletters? A: Yes, but be careful. The customer has consented to sharing their information with you in connection with the booking. Best practice is to only use the email address for relevant communication related to your activities — not for unrelated marketing.

Q: What happens if a customer wants to be deleted? A: If a customer contacts you and wants their data deleted, forward the request to our support team and we will handle it. You should also delete the customer's information from any external lists you have exported.

Q: What data does Peach store? A: Peach stores the information needed to manage bookings, payments, and communication — for example name, email address, and booking history. We follow GDPR and handle all data in accordance with our privacy policy.

Good to know

  • Treat your customers' information with respect. Only send emails that are relevant and valuable to the recipient.
  • If you export data and store it externally (e.g. in a spreadsheet or email tool), you are the data controller for that copy.
  • Always have a clear process for handling deletion requests — it strengthens trust with your participants.
  • Peach never sends marketing to your customers on your behalf without your approval.
